As many as 200 investors seen signing up for South Dakota ethanol plant

In South Dakota, between 150 and 200 investors putting in a minimum of $50,000 each will provide the $74.5 million in capital required for the new 70 million gallon Ringneck Energy ethanol plant proposed for Onida. Most investors come from South Dakota but investors from other ethanol states are included in the group. Already the roads have been put in and some of the initial excavation has been done to take advantage of the late on-set of winter. All permits have been awarded except for the air quality permit that is expected in the next 45 days.
