Change of Government: Reporting from Argentina

When one of the world’s largest exporters of soybeans contemplates a 40% devaluation of its currency in a single day, it’s a sign of extraordinary times, and that was the case in Buenos Aires today as Mauricio Macri took the office of president of Argentina, ending a dozen years of protectionism and currency controls here in the Deep South.

The floating of the peso, is sure to stimulate exports and that means Argentine biodiesel coming to the United States, where the Argentina renewable fuel was recently approved by the EPA for RINs.
