Irish biodiesel consumption and blending rate fall from June but up on year

In Ireland, biodiesel consumption fell by more than 10% in July to 15.54 million liters from its June consumption figure for a volumetric blending level of 5.79% but compared to July 2016, it was a nearly 48% increase when the blending rate was just 4.1%. The blending mandate is set to increase to 8.695% from 6.383% for both biodiesel and ethanol. Ethanol consumption slipped on the month and the year, however, to 4.95 million liters.
