Nexterra’s gasification technology under fire in Canada

In Canada, some community members are opposing a planned wood gasification to CHP project for co-location at Procter & Gamble’s facility in West Thurrock, concerned that some of the 100,000 metric tons of wood to be used as feedstock will be chemically treated wood. Opponents Biofuel Watch claim Nexterra’s technology for the facility is unproven.
