Novozymes CEO says leaders must make strong demands for carbon transition at COP21

In Denmark, in an interview with Clean Technica, the CEO of Novozymes has called on global leaders to be bold at the COP21 in Paris and agree to “firm and aggressive numbers” for reducing climate changing GHG emissions with an eye to increased use of biofuels, both conventional and biomass-based advanced biofuels. With the clear understanding that the oil industry will do everything in its power to protect the status quo, he says it’s up to politicians to set mandates for a transition to clean, renewable energy because the oil industry will never do it on their own.
