Philippines not likely to implement B5 this years as study results delayed

In the Philippines, the Dept. of Energy is still waiting for a study from the National Biofuels Board analyzing the impact of the proposed biodiesel blending mandate increase to 5%, which is expected to delay the implementation of the policy that was set for December. Blending is currently set at 2%. A separate study on the economic impacts is also expected for release sometime this year. The department says that the blend could potentially be implemented in 2016 instead.
