Redfield Energy invests $10 million in ICM fiber separation technology upgrade

In South Dakota, Redfield Energy has invested $10 million to install ICM’s patent-pending fiber separation technology that will extract extra fiber from corn and lead to 8% more ethanol production—about 1.2 million extra gallons per year—and 20% more corn oil production. The facility is the first commercial operation to install the new technology. The upgrade that came online Nov. 2 will also allow the facility to process about 6% more corn as well.
