UK biofuel consumption falls in 2015 with biodiesel taking a 20% hit

In the UK, biofuel consumption hit 1.464 billion liters in 2015, down more than 17% on the year, with biodiesel taking the biggest hit at 669 million liters, down 30% on the year. Ethanol blending reached 4.6% of gasoline and 54% of biofuel market share. In 2014, biodiesel was the main biofuel consumed but that trend reversed in 2015. Biodiesel blending only reached 2.3%. Combined blending was 3.2% in 2015, down 0.7% on the year.
