US ethanol production dips to 14.41 billion gallon annual rate

In Washington, according to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, US ethanol production averaged 948,000 barrels per day (b/d)—or 39.82 million gallons daily. That is down 14,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 940,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.41 billion gallons. Stocks of ethanol stood at 21.1 million barrels. That is a 0.7% decrease from last week and tied with the week ended 1/01/2016 for the lowest total of the year.Imports of ethanol were nonexistent for the 22nd week in a row.

Gasoline demand for the week averaged 409.7 million gallons (9.755 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 918,000 b/d. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 9.72%.
